Compliance Manager
The Compliance Manager will oversee compliance and regulatory requirements across three operator licenses within the Secondary Distribution sector. This role will be responsible for creating and developing the compliance strategy for Asahi UK's distribution function.
Furthermore, they will be responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance frameworks to ensure that all operations align with legal and regulatory standards. The Compliance Manager will work cross functionally with local site managers to ensure consistent practices and high standards across all sites.
The role will be split primarily between our Horndean Distribution site (3 days) and the Griffin Brewery (2 days). It is a site based role.

Compliance Manager

Regulatory Compliance
- Creating the strategy for the secondary distribution function that will deliver compliance and consistent processes across all distribution sites within AUK
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transport regulations and standards.
- Implement and oversee compliance programmes and policies.
- Develop and enforce best-in-class working structures to maintain legal responsibilities of Transport Managers.
- Standardize procedures and workflows across all sites.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of compliance policies in line with legislation
- Working cross functionally to ensure site leads all adhere to said compliance strategy
- Conduct unbiased internal audits to measure site performance and identify potential risks.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Develop action plans to address any compliance issues identified during audits.
- Provide training and support to site managers and staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Develop training materials and programs to enhance compliance awareness and knowledge.
- Provide guidance and council to key stakeholders to ensure compliance issues are dealt with appropriately.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in compliance processes and procedures.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to keep the organization ahead of compliance requirements.
- Aim for and maintain relevant industry accreditations such as FORS or similar.
- Work towards achieving a blue rating within the government score rating.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance management, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
- CPC management qualification - pre-requisite
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards.
- Previous experience of managing a transport operator or fleet
- Proven experience in conducting audits and implementing compliance programmes.
- Ideally prior experience of managing FORS audits and processes
- Previous experience with transportation management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong and Influencing skills in order to deliver key results
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
