Contract Asset & Compliance Manager

Purpose

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Asset & Compliance Manager will be responsible for validating our technicalservices remain effective in ensuring our Client's Estate is statutory compliant. The role will also have responsibilityfor asset data collection and management, inclusive of maintaining the planned preventative maintenance programme. The Asset and Compliance manager will also undertake regular reviews, and subsequently report on high-riskcompliance areas, including asbestos, fire risk, fixed wiring, gas installations and water hygiene.

• Ability to manage and maintain quality standards through regular audit reviews and monitoring.

Taking responsibility for ensuring corrective action is taken on any areas of failure.

• Experience and ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, seeking to exceed the expectations and needs of our customers

• Knowledge of performance processes and standard operating procedures

• A subject matter expert in statutory and mandatory compliance requirements

• 3 - 5 years demonstrable experience in asset management including life cycle management

• Conduct both compliance & technical audits including the provision of technical reports

• Experience in bringing innovative ideas to fruition

• Able to demonstrate and articulate high levels of compliance including Health & Safety knowledge and awareness

• Commercial awareness in ensuring asset change is recovered and recorded correctly in Maximo

Main Duties

• Provide an independent view and approach to auditing the Contract estate in respect of Statutory Compliance

• To develop and establish accurate asset data sets for the Contract portfolio and support a strong safety culture across the account ensuring we meet our legal requirements and obligations in Statutory Compliance and Health & Safety

• Provide advice to operational teams by managing, maintaining, and implementing standards and procedures so that the contract is in line with current legislative requirement• Ensure asset data held in Maximo is up to date and accurate and be able to provide the status and condition of plant and equipment across the contract

• Provide and support the Project teams in the provision of Life Cycle reports

• Aligning preventative maintenance requirements and supporting the issuing and distribution of tasks in line with SFG20

• Approval of updates and amendments to Maximo ensuring efficient and accurate reporting

• Support QSHE safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure overall compliance

• Evaluate performance, through Audit, identifying corrective action and implement follow up assessments

• Develop a plan to support safety and compliance training programs

• Support in the development and delivery of health and safety policies in the workplace in line with legal and company guidelines

• Support in the provision of policies to establish a compliant focused culture

• Evaluate and recommend appropriate changes to Safe Systems of Work

• Monitor and report on compliance & health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace • Attend meetings to provide expert guidance as required

• Ensure all compliance certificates are saved and accessible in an efficient manner

• Liaise with operational teams to ensure compliant, safe and sufficient delivery of services through third party sub-contractors Core Competencies & Experience

• Competency and understanding of Statutory Compliance

• Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience working within either Building Services or Facilities Management

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• IT Literate (Good Maximo & Microsoft Office Skills)

• Negotiating and Influencing skills

• Asset Management /Project Management background and experience

• Familiar with internal audit reviews • Knowledge of accident/incident reporting and investigation

Qualifications:

Essential
  • A qualification in a related M&E, compliance or H&S role
  • Sound understanding of asbestos legislation, legionella prevention and M&E building services
  • Minimum of IOSH • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001
Desirable
  • Maximo Planning & Integration
  • Knowledge of Maximo or similar CAFM systems
  • SFG20 competency and understanding
