As Contract Support and Compliance officer, you will be responsible for managing a small team that provides critical support to the Environmental Services team.
You will be working with colleagues delivering Forestry, Waste, Public Realm, Parks and Grounds services which are delivered in partnership with our contractor Veolia. You will play a key role in ensuring all financial transactions are validated and paid on time. You will also support the teams in procuring key assets and ensuring that critical stock levels are maintained.You will support senior managers in carrying out targeted contract management checks and will be involved in our continuing digital transformation Journey.
The role is diverse, and you can be sorting out financial queries, auditing bin stock and sorting out office infrastructure issues all in the same day!

This post is offered on a full-time basis, however, we will also welcome applications from those interested in part time of 30 hours per week or more.

You will have
- Relevant knowledge and experience in a contract management or administrative setting
- Great organisation skills with the ability to multi-task
- Be a highly effective communicator and negotiator
- Have a good understanding of payment and ordering systems
- Have an understanding of contract management principles
- Have an interest in all things digital
- Experience of leading and motivating a team
