The role
Reporting into the Senior Credit Risk Manager, this role will manage a team of Credit Risk Controllers who are responsible for the debt of our Star Pubs & Bars event. You'll support the Regional Operation Directors and Operation Directors to minimise debts through strategic collections management and provide credit risk insight to inform commercial decision making through the team.
You'll have clear targets and measurable results to show how you and your team are performing. In addition to debt, your key areas of focus will be improving our customer experience, ensuring compliance with our credit policy and developing your team.

The role doesn't require a degree in finance, however it does require someone with a solid experience in managing financial or operational risk. We're looking for an inspiring people manager, experienced in leading high performing teams and managing change.

Our ways of working
Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You'll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you're more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.
We're currently gearing up for an exciting move! In 2025, we'll be relocating from our current location at Broadway Park (on the outskirts of Edinburgh) to a modern, flexible working space in the heart of the city centre.
The move to our new home at 6 St Andrew Square is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2025, subject to detailed planning and relevant approvals. The site will have great transport links and will be just a five minute walk from Waverley station.
There'll be plenty of support for colleagues during the transition to the new location, so stay tuned, and once you're onboard you'll have access to a SharePoint site with further details.

- Through effective management of the team minimise bad debts and maximise cash flow.
- Delivery of successful monthly business area reviews, business partnering RODs, to ensure appropriate action plans are in place, balancing risk vs reward within policy parameters
- Driving team to achieve agreed performance objectives, KPIs and service levels
- Progressive management and development of your team minimising staff attrition and overseeing their successful completion of Heineken Star Pubs and Bars staff training and accreditation plan
