Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Analyst will be a valued member of the Ethics & Compliance team dedicated to supporting the effort to gather high quality, accurate, and consistent data regarding Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Healthcare Organization (HCO) payment disclosures as required under the CMS Open Payments program and other state and local jurisdictional laws and regulations for medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

The position will assist the Manager, Corporate Compliance Transparency Reporting by supporting HCP/HCO transparency reporting and other related activities. This includes but is not limited to gathering relevant spend data from various sources, entering and managing the data in a third-party aggregate spend system, and reconciling, analyzing, and remediating the data. The position will work with multiple departments including Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Sales & Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and completeness. The position will coordinate with global business partners to ensure accurate and complete reporting of US HCP/HCO interactions with OUS Company affiliates. The position will assist in generating reports in required formats for submission to federal, state, and local jurisdictions in accordance with strict deadlines.

The position will assist with data analysis and will create dashboards and other documents to summarize transparency reporting results.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with the transparency reporting lead and other Ethics & Compliance personnel to ensure HCP/HCO spend data integrity, to provide guidance on the types of spend required to be reported and the process for reporting it.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure data collection and reporting to CMS (Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services) Open Payments and other applicable state and local jurisdictions is accurate, complete, and timely by working with Finance, Sales, and other departments' business partners/employees.
  • Work with HCPs, HCOs, outside vendors and service providers, as required, to gather additional data required for accurate and timely transparency reporting and resolve reporting disputes.
  • Upload spend data to third party aggregate spend system and perform data reconciliation and remediation.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of new and/or revised HCP/HCO transparency laws, such as the Sunshine Act and state and local regulations, and update processes and procedures as required.
  • Provide/support awareness training to internal and external stakeholders on transparency reporting requirements and best practices.
  • Maintain/retain documents and records related to transparency reporting as required by law and internal policies and requirements. This individual will collect records from SAP, Concur, and other applications and sources related to HCP expenses and upload into CMS Open Payments database as required by law.
  • Assist with preparation of reports and dashboards to analyze trends and summarize reporting data for various governing committees and the Board.
  • Stay current on new and emerging technologies for continuous improvement of transparency reporting activities.
  • Support Ethics & Compliance personnel as required to ensure Ethics & Compliance goals are accomplished by helping to fulfill the requirements of the Sunshine Act, other applicable US transparency laws and the company's Ethics & Compliance program goals.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent applicable experience
  • Mid-level or higher proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Forms, etc.). Power BI and Advanced Excel experience a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and bring your unique perspective
  • Ability to balance working independently with seeking guidance and direction from others as needed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and develop as a compliance professional
  • Prefer 2+ years HCP/HCO transparency reporting experience in pharma or med device manufacturing
  • Prefer experience with SAP business information system and Concur travel and expense system
  • Prefer experience with third party aggregate spend system such as MedPro MCR
  • Prefer compliance certification (CHC, CCEP)

Target Based Range

$64,200 to $74,200

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-02 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
