Job Purpose:
This role is to perform the monitoring and assurance activities that comprise the financial crime elements of the Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Programme to ensure effective oversight of our financial crime control framework across the organisation. All such monitoring activities are to be completed in accordance with the timings in the Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Plan.
This role sits within the Financial Crime Team in our International Compliance Department and will support and maintain the culture of compliance and good governance across our various insurance platforms.

This role sits within the Financial Crime Team in our International Compliance Department and will support and maintain the culture of compliance and good governance across our various insurance platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assume responsibility for the financial crime and licensing elements of the Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Programme thereby assisting in ensuring compliance with TMHCCI's financial crime control framework. The monitoring and assurance programme involves:
- Review of business against licensing permissions and / or restrictions.
- Review of business processes from a financial crime perspective, with a particular focus on high-risk territories.
- Review of transactional level data and claims data from a financial crime perspective.
- Performance of regular underwriting, finance and claims file checks.
- Quality assurance review of Level 1 alert handling screening process.
- Any other monitoring or assurance activity comprising the Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Programme.
- To provide regular reports to key stakeholders, including the relevant Committees, on the output of the monitoring activities. Ad hoc reports to be produced as required.
- To review and update the Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Procedures on an annual basis.
- To provide input and ideas to continually enhance our monitoring and assurance programme from a controls and operational efficiency perspective.
- To provide input on the monitoring and assurance sections of the annual Compliance Plan and produce the financial crime sections of the annual Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Plan.
- To manage and update, as necessary, the monitoring and assurance sections of the Compliance Intranet pages.
- To support the Compliance Department as required and perform tasks requested by the Financial Crime Senior Compliance Officer and / or Head of Financial Crime.
- To providing co-ordination support for internal audit reviews and regulatory visits, as necessary.
- To promote a culture of compliance by raising awareness of compliance and regulatory matters through the monitoring activities and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Essential:
- Strong analytical, written and communication skills.
- Well-organised and proactive.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative and helpful to colleagues, following up tasks appropriately, keeping the team up-to-date on activities and progress
- Experience within an insurance company, the Lloyd's market or other financial institution preferable.
- Experience of similar responsibilities in a compliance or internal audit role within an insurance company, the Lloyd's market or other financial institution preferable.
- Recognised financial crime qualifications.
