You are part of CFO Management Team and lead 8 direct reports, with a total of ~25 employees in the business unit. You collaborate closely with the Legal department.

The Impact You Will Have

You will work closely with the Business Units, the Board of Management, the governance functions and Group Compliance to create a strong compliance culture across the organization. You will act as a trusted partner to the business and demonstrate your high integrity, personal commitment to ethical practices, transparency, and trustworthiness.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's Compliance Programs to ensure adherence to all applicable insurance laws, regulations, and guidelines in multiple local jurisdictions.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and implement proactive strategies to mitigate them, including risk assessments, reviews, control assessments and investigations.
  • Establish and maintain company-wide policies and procedures to promote legal and ethical behaviour and to protect the company's reputation.
  • Ensure timely reporting and updates to regulators, the Board of Management, the Audit and Risk Committee and Group Compliance.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive training programs globally to promote a Compliance-oriented mindset across all departments.
  • Collaborate with Group Compliance on Compliance Programs, projects and developments.
  • Foster a culture of ethical behaviour and transparency, promoting Compliance with the company's code of conduct and corporate governance standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Compliance team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
What You'll Bring to the Role
  • The successful candidate will be a strategic and hands-on leader, committed to driving compliance excellence and ensuring the team's success in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Other competencies will help you succeeding in the role:
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently to diverse audiences.
  • Recognized interpersonal and leadership skills, cultivating trust-based relationships and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Extensive experience in the compliance, audit, legal or governance function within the P&C insurance market, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, market environment, and related processes, in multiple jurisdictions.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance laws and regulations, as well as governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with compliance management software, regulatory reporting tools, and data analytics systems to monitor compliance activities and risks.
  • Proven track records in leading change projects.
  • Master or PhD in Law (LLM, JD), Economics or Risk Management. Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Insurance Compliance Professional (CICP), or similar) are highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English; an additional language will be beneficial (German, French, Spanish).
