PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Tracks, monitors, and maintains employee qualifications and compliance information, and reports such information to appropriate personnel and to the Illinois State Board of Education at designated times of the year as required by law or policy.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Compliance Specialist, Records Technician
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management or related field preferred. Related experience and/or training will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.

- Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.

- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and Board regulations related to certification and licensure. Monitors credentials, advises district staff, and communicates updates regarding certification requirements.
- Manages certified and non-certified staff placement, verifying credentials, ensuring contract adherence, analyzing qualifications for salary placement, and addressing credential deficiencies.
- Oversees certified tenure processes, including Teacher Tenure Portability, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintains and audits personnel files, ensures compliance with legal requirements, manages evaluation reporting systems, and prepares reference materials and statistical data.
- Manages state reporting processes and serves as the primary HR liaison for Charter Schools, ensuring data integrity in PowerSchool/Business+.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management or related field preferred. Related experience and/or training will be considered.
