Key job responsibilities
- Manage a team of 6 risk/program managers and customs brokers to meet the operational KPIs.
- Build efficiency in our transportation network across borders to reduce cost, improve speed and reliability
- engage with brokers regularly and work on bringing positive customer experience
- look around the corner and work towards innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organisation
- Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organisations
- Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise improvement programs, seeing them through from start to finish
- Enhance compliance and operational performance on every program in partnership with your stakeholders

About the team
Amazon Worldwide Fulfillment team innovates, builds, and operates cross-border e-commerce shipping, fulfillment, and customs capabilities to enable global growth. The team manages Amazon's global delivery offering across 200+ countries, serving a diverse and unique set of customer needs.
As a people leader of customs and compliance org, you will be the single threaded owner to lead the customs brokerage operations and cross border compliance working with both Amazon Trade compliance team and also external govt. entities. You will manage a team of 6 program/risk managers working closely with global carriers and brokers. You will work independently to launch projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Cross-border B2C is a foundational piece of Amazon's international consumer business, serving customers across 190+ countries. The uniqueness of this team is the impact that we create to millions of customers across 190+ countries. Define the goals, roadmap, and planning for optimizing inventory placement to reduce Cost to Serve and improve Speed in the AWF network from EU and UK
• Partner with worldwide Amazon Trade compliance and Business teams, Customer Experience team, carrier managers and to drive the programs across all lanes.
Influence without authority and peeling the layers and identifying the right inputs would be key.
• Define goals, metrics and roadmap for reducing the defects being generated in the Amazon and carrier export network ensuring great customer experience
• Develop mechanisms to simplify the processes and identify root causes and drive improvement plans
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Significant experience of Ops, Program or project management
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Master's degree in Management/MBA, Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation
People Management experience
