As a Mortgage Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will:
This is an exempt position. The salary for this role will range from $54K - $128K depending on level placement and experience level. Actual placement range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.
Education/Experience:
An associate degree in business, finance, or related field for Levels I and II is required. A bachelor's in business, finance, or related field for the remaining levels is required. Applicable work experience and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education.
Level I: Requires two years of experience related to regulatory compliance and quality control within the real estate mortgage lending industry. Credit union experience preferred.
Level II: Requires three years of experience related to regulatory compliance and quality control within the real estate mortgage lending industry. Credit union experience preferred.
Level III: Requires three years of experience related to regulatory compliance and quality control within the real estate mortgage lending industry. Credit union experience preferred.
Sr Level: Requires five years of experience related to regulatory compliance and quality control within the real estate mortgage lending industry. Credit union experience required.
Applicable work experience and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education. Applicable additional education levels or relevant but not required certifications may be eligible to satisfy minimum experience requirements.

As a Mortgage Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will:
- Ensure the real estate mortgage lending operations of TFCU adhere to all applicable federal and state regulations, including HMDA, LAR, TILA, RESPA, and ECOA
- Complete HMDA and LAR reporting
- Conduct quality control reviews to ensure compliance
- Provide guidance and training to lending staff regarding compliance regulations
- Collaborate with the internal and external auditors in completing and submitting all audit request from investors, government agencies, mortgage insurance companies, credit bureaus, and other relevant parties within the specified timeframe.
- Lead and manage the annual Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) on-site audit, ensuring the exception rate remains below 10%.
- Ensure timely completion of all prefunding and post-closing audits monthly.

- Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU's chosen authority.
- Approved lending authority by TFCU's Board of Directors.
- NMLS License or ability to obtain as part of employment
In order to be successful as a Mortgage Regulatory Compliance Officer, you must possess these skills:
- An in-depth knowledge of credit union compliance, rules and regulations
- Strong knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including HMDA/LAR requirements
- Experience conducting compliance audits and risk assessments with regulators, including HMDA/LAR data reviews.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs, including HMDA/LAR training
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
