The role:
This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity for either a London or Bristol based candidate to get involved in managing the Firm's operational risk framework, advising risk owners, maintaining risk registers and assessment processes, conducting operational risk reviews, and overseeing the Risk Committee's management, including preparing reports for the Risk Committee, Executive, and Board.

What will you do:
- Oversee the operational risk management framework and conduct annual risk reviews.
- Define and maintain risk management processes.
- Provide advice on operational risk management and related topics.
- Organize and manage quarterly risk committee meetings.
- Conduct office risk reviews domestically and internationally.
- Produce reports for the risk committee and senior management.
- Manage the firm's Business Continuity Plan and Incident Management Team details, including mass communication tools and BCP testing.
- Administer the RiskSmart risk management system.
- Stay updated on current industry standards.
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge for optimal technology use.
- Maintain relationships with local, functional, and international contacts.
- Experienced in operational risk management within international firms.
- Skilled in owning and testing international Business Continuity Plans.
- Solid understanding of operational risk, governance, and professional services operations, preferably in law firms.
- Competent in supplier management and governance processes.
- Diligent, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Capable of producing tailored reports and conducting research analysis.
- Maintains confidentiality and manages multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills and academic background.
- Law firm experience and commercial awareness would be advantageous.
- Works well in diverse, cross-functional teams and is flexible to work extra hours.
