As our Risk, Insurance and Compliance Manager you'll play an important role in ensuring the continued effective operation of Southern Co-op.

We are seeking someone who can understand our business, can develop sensible approaches and facilitate genuine buy-in from colleagues and stakeholders. Moreover, we are seeking someone who understands that delivering these business areas is more than just writing a policy and expecting others to follow it. This a broad and varied role so if you haven't got experience in all these business areas, we will support you with the development you need.

What to expect..
  • You will manage our insurance programme - including renewals and claims process.
  • You will manage our licensing regime, helping to ensure we have the right licenses for our business.
  • You will be responsible for the development of our Business Continuity framework.
  • You will oversee our Enterprise Risk Management Framework, helping to ensure business risks are appropriately reviewed, managed and communicated.
  • You will support the compliance monitoring activities on our FCA Regulated business.
  • To achieve this, you will collaborate with stakeholders and departments across the organisation.
What we're looking for..
  • Experience of Enterprise Risk Management and delivery.
  • Involvement in managing or supporting Business Continuity.
  • Experience dealing with insurance policies, claims handling, loss adjusters.
  • Awareness of an Internal Audit and Compliance functions, objectives and methodologies.
  • Experience in developing and delivering plans to identify and fulfil compliance requirements.
  • Strong organisation & analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Be proficient in Excel and comfortable navigating IT systems.
  • Possess excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
