Job Title: Senior Compliance Officer
Salary: £28,500 - £36,000 per annum

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Course Approval Officer to join IOSH, at this exciting time in our journey. IOSH is the Chartered body and largest membership organisation for health and safety professionals and in this role, you will play an integral part in supporting IOSH in delivering our Strategy, Activate 2028.
Leading a small team, you'll be responsible for reviewing materials submitted by external organisations against existing course standards. You'll ensure there is continual improvement of the processes and systems in place for the approval of tailored courses, and providing appropriate feedback to organisations to ensure their content meets the approval standard.
The role will contribute to cross organisational development activity as required, driving collaborative opportunities that deliver both departmental and organisational objectives.

You will be a self-motivated team player with ability to work on own initiative, experienced in managing teams and have great organisational skills. You will have experience in developing and improving internal and/or external materials and ensuring consistent standards are retained.

You'll also;
- Lead the maintenance, improvement and development of the IOSH Course Approval team
- Effectively and efficiently resolve queries that have been escalated to management level
- Write succinct internal and external reports
- Engage and lead in standardisation exercises to ensure decisions are consistent across the team
You will be a self-motivated team player with ability to work on own initiative, experienced in managing teams and have great organisational skills. You will have experience in developing and improving internal and/or external materials and ensuring consistent standards are retained.
In addition to the above, you will have:
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, both orally and in writing
- Problem solving skills to help maximise customer satisfaction
- Ability to review and align standards and work with stakeholders to support them with standards development.
- Experience of working with external stakeholders to develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes.
- Experience of writing and evaluating content.
