We are looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer. In this exciting role, you will work closely with our Head of the DSA Compliance Office on the management of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
You will drive the development and implementation of operational compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will also lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of key operational risk indicators, areas of improvements, and recommend appropriate action. You will partner with numerous Amazon teams, including Legal, Public Policy, Product Quality, Brand Registry, Product Safety, Advertising, and several other business, product, and tech teams.
You must have a proven track record in managing large-scale programs across a matrixed organization. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and be able to apply data analysis to solve complex problems.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and implement operational compliance oversight frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to the DSA and potentially other EU product-related compliance regulations.
2. Keep abreast of changes in laws to ensure compliance with current requirements.
3. Guide internal stakeholders in assessing, managing, and establishing mitigation strategies through appropriate controls.
4. Support with external audits, reporting, and data access requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying mitigation steps, if necessary.
5. Support our Head of DSA Compliance Officer with the external engagement of regulatory partners.
6. Act as a subject matter expert and key point of contact to support the business in operating within compliance.
7. Create and deliver training programs on compliance matters to the business.

The Trustworthy Shopping Experience EU team covers product safety, product compliance, product quality for our Retail and Seller businesses in UK and EU stores. For the EU DSA law, our Compliance Office partners with 60 teams across Selling Partner Services, Ads, and Shopping orgs to ensure Amazon's DSA compliance. We implement upcoming requirements for the DSA law across the EU Stores, and work with partner teams to design, implement, and operate processes, software and machine learning we collectively apply to protect our customers from unsafe, illegal and inauthentic products, in line with the DSA law.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in audit (internal or external) or compliance program management
- Business proficiency in English and at least one other European language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Experience in program or product management in e-commerce, social media, or other online company
