Payroll Controls & Compliance Specialist

Key Role Overview: This pivotal role will lead the UK Customs &amp; Compliance department and oversee all UK intercompany flows (both inbound and outbound). Additionally, it will support Plant Supply Chain Managers in high-level UK distribution projects. Main Responsibilities: <ul><li>Advise the business on mitigating risks and leveraging opportunities from Brexit and other legislations.</li><li>Ensure continuous compliance with all HMRC processes and implement any legislative changes.</li><li>Develop and maintain robust collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.</li><li>Manage and coordinate the creation of intercompany offers for affiliates and follow up on outbound activities to grow the UK as an intercompany supplier.</li><li>Support Sales departments across various Business Units in optimising main intercompany purchase routes (inbound).</li><li>Benchmark within the Group to find alternative intercompany suppliers and maximise UK domestic sales margins.</li><li>Coordinate with Plant Supply Chain Managers and the Purchasing department on domestic and export distribution contracts and cost reduction projects.</li><li>Assist the UK Supply Chain Manager in defining, measuring, and improving distribution KPIs (cost and service), including setting MP targets.</li><li>Conduct audits of import and export processes to ensure compliance.</li></ul>Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a degree and experience in a Distribution/Supply Chain role covering both domestic and export operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven experience in a product compliance role with a broad understanding of consumer focused legislation, for example, product safety and claims - ideally within e-commerce. What's the job? You will contribute to ensuring products listed on the B&amp;Q Marketplace by verified sellers are compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that B&amp;Q continues to meet its legal obligations as an online marketplace. Key accountabilities and responsibilities: <ol><li>Product Onboarding Due Diligence: Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements for selected product categories during onboarding.</li><li>Relationship Building: Establish strong working relationships with the wider marketplace team across the Group.</li><li>Post-Live Monitoring: Monitor live marketplace listings, removing products as needed.
