What's exciting about the role We are seeking an experienced professional from the Financial Services industry to join our Risk team as Credit Risk Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing credit and fraud risk across Verifone's portfolio of merchants and products. You will also lead and mentor a Credit Analyst, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You should be passionate about finance and driven to contribute to the ongoing development of Verifone's payments and financial services strategy. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead Credit Operations, overseeing the performance of the credit portfolio to ensure alignment with Verifone's defined risk appetite</li><li>Drive operational excellence by strengthening credit underwriting, fraud monitoring, and collections frameworks across the organization</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance credit and fraud risk management, support the development of new credit products, and continuously improve related policies, processes, and procedures</li><li>Coach and educate teams across the Verifone Group on industry best practices in credit and fraud risk management</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for all first-line credit and fraud-related inquiries and escalations</li><li>Contribute to the development and delivery of internal training programs focused on fraud and credit risk, working closely with training and first-line teams to ensure effective implementation</li><li>Design and implement a robust control framework for Verifone Payments entities, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation across all credit-related activities</li></ul>Skills and Experience we desire <ul><li>Minimum of 5 years' experience in Credit and Fraud Risk management </li><li>Proven experience working within regulated payment services and acquiring environments</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Highly analytical, with exceptional attention to detail and data-driven decision-making skills</li><li>Deep understanding of credit risk framework design and implementation, ensuring scalability, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory standards</li><li>A hands-on, action-oriented approach with a passion for driving results</li><li>Motivation to shape the future of payments in a global, established organization with a strong presence in the UK/EU market</li><li>Trusted escalation point for complex risk management issues, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities</li></ul>Our commitment Verifone is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. In this Role, you'll get to: <ul><li>Support the application, maintenance, and ongoing compliance of various payment licenses and regulatory requirements across multiple regions (e.g., HK, SG, NL, UK), with a primary focus on Europe. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams such as risk, operations, finance, and legal to ensure full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and licensing obligations. </li><li>Support communication with key stakeholders to meet regulatory, external audit, and assessment requirements. </li><li>Assist in communications with regulatory and enforcement authorities in jurisdictions where TripLink operates, including preparation for and management of regulatory examinations, inspections, information requests, and regulatory reporting/filings. </li><li>Help conduct internal training on licensing, compliance, and anti-money laundering topics. </li><li>Contribute to maintaining an effective compliance program, internal control systems, and a compliance monitoring framework to identify, assess, mitigate, and report compliance risks. </li><li>Review escalations and provide input on suspicious transaction handling, KYC reviews, and participate in risk incident management. </li><li>Advise and support the Chief Risk Officer in implementing risk and compliance frameworks. </li><li>Monitor and share updates on local regulatory developments and policy changes. </li><li>Assist with other compliance-related tasks and responsibilities as needed.</li></ul>What you'll Need to Succeed: <ul><li>Bachelor degree or above, with 5 years of experience in compliance advisory or compliance control in licensed financial institution or Big 4 professional services firms.</li><li>Broad and up-to-date understanding of financial crime, regulatory compliance, and key requirements in the payment services industry.</li><li>Strong compliance and business acumen, with the ability to identify compliance risks, assess their impact, and develop practical, risk-based solutions.</li><li>Basic knowledge of financial services, banking, and payment processing domains.</li><li>Logical thinking, excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across the organization.</li><li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of working independently to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Able to adapt quickly and effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced scale-up environment.</li><li>Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
