Internal Audit Manager Location: Hybrid (Head Office, West Bromwich) Salary: £70,000 - £90.000 per annum (Depending on Experience) Contract: Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week 09.00 - 17.00, Monday - Friday The West Brom are looking to recruit a Internal Audit Manager to work within our Internal Audit team. The Internal Audit Manager will support the Chief Internal Auditor with the development and delivery of the risk-based audit plan and day-to-day management of the Audit function. Key responsibilities are: <ul><li>Recruit, manage and develop the Internal Audit team so that a high quality Internal Audit service is provided to the Society.</li><li>Manage the planning process to ensure audit work is focused on key areas of risk including maintaining an Audit Universe of the Society's activities and key processes.</li><li>Undertake ongoing horizon scanning to inform the Internal Audit plan and provide insight and foresight.</li><li>Oversee the maintenance of the Internal Audit Manual in line with Global Internal Audit standards and Code of Practice.</li><li>Lead or supervise (as required) individual in-house audit assignments.</li><li>Undertake audit file reviews, to ensure audit files are delivered to a high standard.</li><li>Liaise and, where appropriate, manage the assignments allocated to our co-source partner.</li><li>Operate as a critical friend to the business, by attending governance committees and groups and providing advice to senior management and other colleagues on risks and how to effectively manage them.</li><li>Prepare Internal Audit management information for dissemination to the Board, Audit Committee, ExCo and other key Committees.</li><li>Deputise for the Chief Internal Auditor as required.</li><li>Manage or oversee (as required) the conduct of investigations into allegations of fraud and produce a report summarising findings.</li></ul>The skills and experience required are: <ul><li>Strong audit and people management experience.</li><li>Relevant professional qualification (CIA, ACA, ACCA, etc).</li><li>Knowledge of risk based audit techniques including change assurance and data analytics.</li><li>Good knowledge of the financial services industry.</li><li>Effective communicator (written and oral).</li><li>Curious and analytical.</li><li>Strategic and objective thinker including applying appropriate professional scepticism.</li><li>Motivating and developing a team.</li><li>Time management and workload prioritisation.</li></ul>What's in it for you?
