Job Description This role reports to the Head of Compliance and is part of a collaborative team that works cross-functionally within the business and also involves client and external stakeholder management. The role will require you to: <ul><li>Manage and proactively enhance our compliance framework. This will include developing and maintaining a combination of controls, training, risk assessment, policies, procedures and management information. </li><li>Manage and proactively enhance our monitoring program of conduct control testing and report on the activities to relevant audiences highlighting key findings and remedial actions.</li><li>Prepare and deliver conduct risk management information to relevant audiences (peers, compliance leadership, executive committee, board of directors) highlighting key initiatives, regulatory trends and areas of concern.</li><li>Manage the annual risk assessment process (SIRA, ESG) by identifying risks and proposing mitigating actions incl. developing related controls.</li><li>Able to translate Global Group policy requirements to local policies in line with the local regulatory requirements as well as respecting the Visa's group standards.</li><li>Responsible for reporting unusual transactions to the relevant authorities.</li><li>Provide ongoing and ad-hoc advice to analysts on AML/CFT requirements.</li><li>Act as an internal subject matter expert on conduct risk and money laundering. </li><li>Share knowledge on internal trends and wider industry developments.</li><li>Provide training to other teams within Compliance on existing and emerging conduct and AML/CFT risk topics.</li><li>Work with client-facing teams to ensure required changes are implemented in practice.</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>A compliance background of at least 8 years within financial services with an understanding of conduct risk regimes, drivers, controls and regulatory expectations.</li><li>Academic legal background or equivalent.</li><li>Knowledge of European payments and / or financial services industry and the major trends affecting key stakeholders, including the regulatory, political and market environment, payment products and services, economic and competitive landscape technology and the rising threat of data breaches.</li><li>Knowledge, understanding and experience of compliance integrity risk management in the payment industries.</li><li>Knowledge of the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing in the payment industry.</li><li>Experience in preparing, reviewing and delivering executive level communications.</li><li>Experience of conducting risk assessment by identifying risks and proposing mitigating actions incl. developing related controls.</li><li>A strong understanding of what constitutes an effective compliance control</li><li>Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and project management skills.</li><li>A hands-on and independent approach.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both written and verbal.</li><li>Excellent team-working skills, ability to manage own workload and clear understanding on when to escalate identified issues to the Head of Compliance.</li></ul>Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer. You will work closely with various internal departments and external stakeholders to maintain and enforce compliance standards. Serve as the primary point of contact with DNB, FIUs, and other law enforcement agencies</li><li>Maintain an effective compliance program, internal controls, and monitoring framework to manage compliance risks. </li><li>Assess escalation and provide input on suspicious transaction handling, KYC review and participate in risk incident management.</li><li>Manage regulatory examinations, inspections, information requests, and reporting/filings.</li><li>Provide internal training on licensing, compliance, and anti-money laundering (AML).</li><li>Identify and share updates in local regulatory policies/regimes in the Netherlands.</li><li>Support in other compliance project in Europe</li><li>Assist in dealing with other compliance issues and work.</li></ul>What you'll Need to Succeed: <ul><li>University degree or above, with 3 - 5 years of experience in compliance advisory or compliance control in licensed financial institution or Big 4 professional services firms.</li><li>Broad and up-to-date understanding of financial crime, regulatory compliance, and key requirements in the payment services industry.</li><li>Strong compliance and business acumen, with the ability to identify compliance risks, assess their impact, and develop practical, risk-based solutions.</li><li>Basic knowledge of financial services, banking, and payment processing domains.</li><li>Logical thinking, excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across the organization.</li><li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of working independently to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and proficiency in a local language such as Dutch is an advantage.
