Job Description We are looking for a Quality Compliance Manager to join our team in the defence sector at Wincanton based in Motherwell. Main responsibilities will be to maintain compliance to legislation, contract requirements, maintain relevant licences and accreditations. This will be for all Scotland contracts. Strong background knowledge working/managing security processes are essential for this role. Such actions can arise from internal reviews or from external reviews / assessments. </li><li>Assist with identification and resolution of general quality issues, in conjunction with or the site management team. </li><li>Ensure processes for compliance to legislation are up to date and followed by the operations team </li><li>Monitor records to ensure that Security Training is completed annually for all staff. </li><li>Ensure Wincanton are working to the appropriate standards as defined legally or in relation to customer requirements, this includes but is not limited to UK and US regulations. </li><li>Preparation for specific business security and risk related audits. </li><li>Guide the Senior Operations Managers and teams in establishing regulatory requirements with regards to any new or additional contractual requirements </li></ul>What will you bring? <ul><li>Experience working in a Defence environment would be beneficial</li><li>Strong knowledge of security processes/ managing security processes across different contracts - Requirement </li><li>Ability to maintain focus and determine requirements to support the site activities.</li><li>Auditor skills and experience.</li><li>Knowledge of CAA requirements for packaging.</li><li>Development and improvement of group level policy, processes, and procedures.</li><li>Quality management of a warehouse</li><li>Good understanding of one or more management system: ISO 9001, ISO14001 or ISO 45001.</li><li>Ability to investigate issues and produce succinct accurate reports.</li><li>Host management reviews (QMR's).</li><li>Ability to complete Root cause analysis.</li><li>Good customer facing experience to present on quality and legislative issues.</li><li>Team player but able to operate independently</li><li>Flexible with travel to our other Scotland sites - Requirement</li></ul>Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain security clearanceprior to commencing employment which includes providing 5 consecutive years UK residence and employment/education history. About the role This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, compliance standards, and the ability to implement and monitor effective control measures. The Accounts Payable Compliance Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage audits, and continuously assess and enhance the accounts payable compliance framework. In this role, you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including: <ul><li>Develop, implement, and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Update processes in accordance with changes to accounting standards, laws and regulations, and / or Tax requirements. Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with the firm's policies.</li><li>Coordinate responses to internal and external audits related to accounts payable. Prepare documentation and reports for auditors, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments related to accounts payable processes. Identify and address potential compliance risks and control weaknesses.</li><li>Implement and manage a vendor due diligence process to assess and monitor the compliance of vendors. Ensure vendors meet the firm's and external client's compliance standards.</li><li>Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Manager to build training programs and guidance on compliance, policies, and procedures. Keep the finance team informed about changes in compliance requirements.</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance compliance and efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices.</li><li>Generate and analyse reports related to compliance metrics. Provide regular updates to management on compliance status.</li><li>Collaborate with Financial Control team to ensure a comprehensive approach to compliance.
