Job Description: At Regions, the Corporate Compliance Analyst is a second line of defense risk management function that ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining a program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules that govern a specific line of business. Associates at this level should have full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products, and are also considered analytical or procedural experts within a specific line of business. Associates will have influence over process and policy changes. Primary Responsibilities <ul><li>Maintains a proficient knowledge of rules and regulations and their impact on products, services, and operations for a specific line of business</li><li>Conducts research of laws and regulations that impact compliance to include monitoring for new laws and regulations or changes to existing laws and regulations and providing communication to appropriate lines of business which will be impacted by these changes</li><li>Administers a monitoring and testing program to ensure effective compliance with all applicable laws and regulations</li><li>Gathers information requested by regulatory agencies</li><li>Focuses on the resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes</li><li>May supervise day-to-day work of other professional level compliance associates</li><li>Offers advice and guidance to junior associates for sake of continuous improvement</li><li>Oversees creation and delivery of training to assigned business area to increase compliance awareness</li><li>Serves as subject matter expert and performs administrative duties related to a particular line of business systems and database management maintaining knowledge of database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues related to compliance, regulatory projects, and risk management</li><li>Resolves work flow issues, and oversees quality improvement techniques</li></ul>This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Assist with the annual SAFE Act renewal process and have a complete understanding of the onboarding process of new mortgage loan originators within the NMLS Registry. </li><li>Responsible for building and maintaining a robust Complaint Management program and track all complaints to ensure satisfactory remediation and timely responses to the members and NCUA.</li><li>First point of contact with the Credit Union's business units related to specific documentation on deceased accounts, Power of Attorney, and Trust accounts. Coordinate activities, handle inquiries, guide process such as closing or settling accounts. Develop and execute training for front line employees on deceased regulations and update account procedures as needed.</li><li>Partner with the Credit Union's business units to conduct investigations, research and provide resolution on related ChexSystems credit reporting disputes. Works with management to maintain all compliance related policies and procedures, including timeliness of review cycle, track changes, and identify compliance gaps or deficiencies.</li><li>Take ownership for actions, decisions, and results; openly accept feedback and demonstrate both the willingness and ability to improve.</li></ol> JOB QUALIFICATIONS Here are a few skills you MUST have to be qualified for this position. <ol><li>Minimum of 4-6 years' experience of relevant experience in branch operations, member relations and compliance within a financial institution. </li><li>Excellent analytical ability and ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations and provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems.</li><li>Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently.</li><li>Ability to handle simultaneously multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>The ability to work with all levels of management, staff and members.</li><li>Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.</li><li>Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
