Role: Compliance Specialist (EPR) Salary: Up to £33,000 Location: Southampton (hybrid) min 3 days in office The Compliance Specialist (EPR) will provide clients with a comprehensive range of expertise - from practical guidance on cross-border transactions, making sure that they are fully compliant and assisting on EPR and tax advisory services. Overview Marketplace Compliance Specialist - another exciting new opening! Permanent c£47,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus + Pension + BUPA + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday + Hybrid Working (3 days per week in the office) Southampton, Store Support Office Join us as a Marketplace Compliance Specialist and you'll be a big part of our growth journey. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven experience in a product compliance role with a broad understanding of consumer focused legislation, for example, product safety and claims - ideally within e-commerce. What's the job? You will contribute to ensuring products listed on the B&amp;Q Marketplace by verified sellers are compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that B&amp;Q continues to meet its legal obligations as an online marketplace. Key accountabilities and responsibilities: <ol><li>Product Onboarding Due Diligence: Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements for selected product categories during onboarding.</li><li>Relationship Building: Establish strong working relationships with the wider marketplace team across the Group.</li><li>Post-Live Monitoring: Monitor live marketplace listings, removing products as needed. Clearly explain decisions to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Process Improvement: Actively contribute to enhancing documented processes and procedures.</li><li>Investigations and Compliance: Investigate issues arising from customer complaints, reviews, and interactions with verified sellers. Assess technical information and take appropriate action. Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations in various territories.</li><li>Corrective Actions and Support: Assist with corrective actions and follow up to ensure implementation.</li><li>Legal Compliance Support: Collaborate with the Legal Compliance Manager on ad-hoc matters.</li></ol> What we need: • Proven experience in a product compliance role with a broad understanding of consumer focused legislation, for example, product safety and claims • Ability to manage a wide and varied caseload • Comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders. • Good IT skills, particularly the MS Office suite • Competent in dealing with incidents in a timely manner taking a measured and proportionate approach, based on agreed policies and procedures • Confident in using experience and knowledge to influence others • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
