Line of Service Assurance Industry/Sector Banking and Capital Markets Specialism Risk Management Level Manager Job Description &amp; Summary About the role: <ul><li>The role has been created due to a number of growth opportunities and successes across retail financial services markets.</li><li>The Banking Conduct team, with over 50 UK members, drives large-scale risk and regulatory changes in wholesale and retail financial services. Targeting retail banking professionals, we support clients in making strategic risk decisions, optimizing risk environments, maintaining customer focus, and being trusted partners to help their businesses grow.</li></ul>What your days will look like: <ul><li>You will be a part of the team driving the development of technology-enabled client solutions and offerings which help our retail banking clients manage their conduct risks and deliver good customer outcomes. This is a growth priority for our business, and therefore provides a unique opportunity to be at the centre of growing our retail banking conduct proposition at a time of significant change across the industry.</li><li>You will be supporting this growth area with a focus on helping build our technology-enabled retail conduct assets and services.</li><li>As a key member of our team, you will have a client-facing role working as part of our delivery teams on client engagements; and managing and coaching junior staff.</li></ul>Typical projects in our team include: <ul><li>Consumer Duty</li><li>Regulatory reforms</li><li>Non-financial risk transformation</li><li>Consumer credit and lending practices</li><li>Regulatory authorisations and licensing</li></ul>This role is for you if you have: <ul><li>Experience working within retail banking, specifically regarding non-financial and conduct risk and/or controls either from a consulting, industry or regulatory perspective</li><li>A technology-enabled mindset, with prior experience of designing and/or using technology solutions to enhance risk management / controls processes (which may include data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Alteryx)</li><li>Commercial awareness of retail banking business models; sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative</li><li>An agility to effectively participate in varied projects within retail banking (with bank and non-bank clients)</li><li>Understanding of the customer journey/experience in a regulated retail banking environment</li></ul>What you'll receive from us: No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. Overview: Our client is a Big 4 advisory firm, leading in risk and regulatory advice across the financial markets, working directly with a pick of the top tier banks. This role can be based in either Manchester, Leeds or London. What we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Risk and Controls Manager with specific knowledge of Retail banking environments to joining a market leading advisory team If you have expertise across Financial services risk management (including compliance), operations and finance supporting critical business change initiatives and remediation programmes we would like to speak with you. You should demonstrate knowledge on Retail risk and be able to work with clients to design and implement change to their operating models, governance, processes and controls. We are looking to speaking with individuals who are well-schooled in current regulatory developments and a depth of financial products knowledge. What this role can offer you: This role provides you with the opportunity to work on a range of projects and to build a broad range of expertise, as well as build your client relationship network.
