The Role: The HoRC role is to have a dedicated focus on Compliance Safety Management Part 21G and Part. The HoRC fulfills the management requirements of the SMS and ensures that the SMS is effectively implemented and maintained. You will provide guidance and training to operational staff in relation to SMS requirements, and act at Nominated Person deputy for the QCD. Primary responsibilities include: <ul><li>Create, implement, establish, monitor and maintain the SMS (UK CAA, EASA, FAA and CAAC). This will involve collaborating with key stakeholders such as the Quality Compliance Director (QCD), Accountable Manager and SMT.</li><li>Provide periodic reports on safety performance.</li><li>Maintain safety documentation with the HoIMSC.</li><li>Plan and organise staff safety training.</li><li>Facilitate the risk management process that should include hazard identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation (Bowties).</li><li>Provide independent advice on safety matters to all staff (NOE, MOR etc.)</li><li>Advise Senior Managers and Line Managers on safety matters.</li><li>Oversee hazard identification systems, including the effectiveness of previous safety recommendations, and safety promotion.</li><li>Be involved in occurrence/accident investigations.</li><li>Manage SAG meeting once per month.</li><li>Oversee operational safety.</li><li>Resolve identified risks.</li><li>Assess the impact on safety of operational changes.</li><li>Implement and monitor corrective action plans and ensures that corrective action is achieved within agreed timescales.</li><li>Ensure the integrity of the SMS is maintained when changes to the IMS are being planned. Ensure the management of change procedure is used when required, be the SMS change management expert to support the changes, ensure this is fully documented and that any IMS changes are audited once the change has been implemented.</li><li>Communicate the importance of meeting the SMS and the need for continual improvement throughout the organisation. Use all media platforms to get this message out to the business i.e. Runway, All Hands, Take Off, Climb, Altitude, Management Meetings etc.</li><li>Maintain the departmental management of product safety risks to the organisation. Manage the identified Risks and determine if the controls are suitable to maintain product safety, where required, work with departments to help reduce any high-risk areas.</li><li>Lead and Host Regulatory and Standards Audits. Consult with the auditors, ensure the business is aware and ready for the audits, manage the audits with the auditors, ensure any findings are understood and actioned within the authorities' required timescales.</li><li>Manage the Technical Training compliance database (once approved). Ensure new training requirements are reviewed and implemented. Work with Global training on future training contracts and delivery methods.</li><li>Manage Part 21G and all regulatory authority Part 145 compliance matters. Ensure ROW expositions are being updated in line with any changes, working with the HoIMSC.</li><li>Being the subject matter expert on Civil Aviation Authority matters and flowing down the regulatory requirements to business. Role and Responsibilities: <ul><li> Working as a key member of the team to provide International and Complex UK Tax Advisory services to support our clients in achieving their commercial objectives, as well as managing compliance process . </li><li> Managing the successful delivery of technically excellent advice including: tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre/post transaction reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, compliance work and providing technical support to the wider corporate tax team </li><li> Liaising with specialists in other departments and overseas offices to oversee their input into tax advisory projects </li><li> Coaching and developing more junior members of the team </li><li> Managing aspects of the team's operations and performance, including resourcing </li><li> Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and understanding of their business in order to create opportunities to help with the provision of tax and other services </li><li> Managing proposals for new work, including delivering tender documents, presenting at client pitches and identifying solutions for client issues </li><li> Seeking out and pursuing opportunities with targets and actively participating and supporting Directors and Partners in business development activities </li><li> Being a role model for KPMG's values </li></ul> Qualifications, Experience and Skills: <ul><li> ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualified with strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge </li><li> Ability to develop, coach and lead staff, as well as manage stakeholders </li><li> Strong interpersonal skills are required in addition to strong oral and written communication skills </li><li> Well-developed analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice </li><li> Pro-active in identifying and progressing business opportunities for the long-term benefit of both KPMG and the client </li><li> Ability to multi-task - to manage a wide range of projects and relationships </li><li> High level of drive and enthusiasm with a positive attitude </li><li> Dedication to continuously develop technical knowledge </li><li> Inquisitive with attention to detail #LI-CO1 </li></ul>
