Assistant Manager - Global Compliance & Transformation - ERP

A key focus for KPMG's GCT team is to help multinational groups and financial services clients manage their global tax compliance, reporting and statutory accounting obligations, through outsourcing, co-sourcing, transformation and technology.
Our clients leverage KPMG's compliance and transformation expertise and technology to drive better visibility, greater efficiency and improved risk management across their organisation. Ultimately we prepare groups for the future of digital compliance helping them develop a sustainable, technology- enabled and holistic future state operating model.

The role involves working on clients of all sizes and across a wide range of sectors.

We are looking for talented Assistant Managers to join us in Canada Square, London (although flexibility on location will be considered) with experience in a broad range of areas including:
At assistant manager level you will be well organised and have excellent time management skills. You will proactivity and confidently challenge assumption, ask questions and demonstrate solutions focus. You will confidently communicate both in internally and with clients and have a willingness for personal and technical development.
Across GCT we would welcome applications from those qualified by experience, as well as ATT / CTA / ACA or equivalent qualifications. Project Management qualifications along with specific transformation skills (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) are also welcome. Further skills and experience are outlined below:

- Managed Services : provide compliance services to global clients across a range of tax, accounting, transfer pricing obligations under a managed service arrangement
- Technology: h elp clients leverage the right technology, tools and platforms to transform their tax function
- Tax Operating Model: collaborate with clients to build and operate a leading tax function, managing tax risk, opportunities, reputation and compliance
- Data Management: support client tax teams to maximise the use of data available in the organisation in order to effectively manage the Tax Function
We are looking for talented Assistant Managers to join us in Canada Square, London (although flexibility on location will be considered) with experience in a broad range of areas including:
- Tax transformation experience - the ability to analyse tax requirements, design tax processes and implement tax technology solutions
- Practical ERP finance and tax experience, specifically in SAP S4 HANA, Oracle or Workday, as a foundation for tax processes
- Experience of design and configuration of ERP systems for tax purposes
- Experience of implementing VAT determination engines and bolt-ons, such as Vertex O-Series, Thomson Reuters OneSource Determination, or Meridian VAT Add-On
- Tax technology implementation experience, including requirements gathering from a tax, IT and users and creating and reviewing design documentation
- Tax process knowledge, for example indirect tax, direct tax and/or transfer pricing
- Familiarity with end-to-end finance processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record-to-report) and their integration with tax
- Advising on appropriate tax technology to support compliance and reporting processes
- Project management
- Client and engagement management
- Delivering global and large tax transformation and technology projects, often as part of a wider finance transformation program
- Helping clients to design, build and deploy ERP and tax automation solutions which are designed for Tax
- Supporting our clients understand the importance of Tax, the optimal way to address tax requirements in their countries and the value that it can bring
- Working together with our other Tax Transformation colleagues as well as other groups in KPMG such as Consulting
- Helping clients develop robust global governance and process frameworks
- Developing our service offerings and service delivery models
- Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships with both existing and new clients
- Line managing trainees and overseeing output of offshore resource in order to deliver client projects
- Identifying opportunities to identify additional services that the client may need and liaise with subject specialists
- Coaching and technical support for other team members.
- Follow KPMG best practice and policy.
