Assistant Training & Compliance Manager
Location: THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PN
Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday - Some weekend work needed.
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Reporting to the Technical Services Training & Compliance Manager, the Assistant Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring robust engineering, safety, and training compliance strategies and procedures across the Technical Services department at Thorpe Park.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a strategic approach to compliance management, particularly in respect of ride safety and other maintenance processes.
  • Develop comprehensive records and procedures for compliance management purposes.
  • Ensure completion and review of all maintenance-related risk assessments in line with company policies.
  • Develop and review safe systems of work/standard operating procedures for maintenance operations.
  • Drive new efficiency standards, such as tracking competency within Technical Services, to streamline departmental efficiency.
  • Act as the vocal point for initiatives within the department, providing ownership and driving progress.
  • Regularly conduct reviews and audits of health & safety practices and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Manage statutory inspection processes and associated record-keeping for rides and related equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Training Manager to ensure the Technical Services team receives adequate training and that records are maintained and up to date.
  • Working closely with the Training Coordinator to assess whether there are procedural gaps within the department and work on a plan to develop these into action
  • Owning the Traka key safe system, to ensure all compliance requirements are adhered to
Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience with driving KPIs
  • Experience with developing Technical Competency Frameworks
  • A good understanding of reviewing safety procedures within an Engineering department and compliance with ADIPS, HSG175 and Group policy (HS001)
  • Proven experience working creating efficient standards
  • Previous experience in carrying out audits on health and safety practices

This role is a full-time role, averaging 40 hours per week. Although this is largely a Monday-Friday role, due to the nature of the business this will include weekends, bank holidays and some late evenings as required.

Pay Range

Compensation between GBP £30,000.00/Hr.-GBP £32,000.00/Hr.
