The Assurance & Compliance Manager role is a unique opportunity to contribute to ISS's mission of becoming the world's greatest service organisation by driving service performance and empowering our people to deliver excellence.

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide assurance to the Senior Leadership Team that all maintenance and hard FM activities are carried out in full compliance with legal requirements, business-defined standards, and PFI contract obligations.

This is a new position, offering the chance to shape the role and make a significant impact. While the first six months may present challenges, they will also provide a rewarding opportunity to tackle meaningful work and establish robust processes.

As Assurance & Compliance Manager, you will carry out supervisory responsibilities aligned with company policies and applicable laws.
This includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing and resolving challenges as they arise.

The focus is on delivering a world-class building services maintenance program, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance across the board while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage assurance processes on Weybridge site
  • Ensure completion of PPM and reactive works as per commitments
  • Assure compliance in fire risk assessments, asbestos management, PPM, and reactive tasks
  • Maintain contract compliance in all aspects of service delivery
  • Supervise and guide teams to ensure roles are fulfilled effectively
  • Act as a traditional FM assurance lead, focusing on adherence to standards
  • Report regularly to clients and communicate with all stakeholders
  • Ensure managers and supervisors oversee their teams effectively
  • Develop and implement assurance processes and procedures with clear plans
  • Monitor compliance and manage related activities
  • Utilise CAFM systems like Tririga and Insight to set up reports and streamline operations
  • Review planned maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with contract requirements
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Strong experience within a hard FM environment
  • Transferable knowledge of soft services
  • Ability to evaluate team compliance with standards and procedures
  • Extensive experience in assurance, including implementation of processes and assurance plans
  • Environmental and sustainability experience preferred
  • Audit experience strongly desired
  • Preferably some auditing qualification or training (lead auditor not required)
