The role:
Safety & Compliance Auditor
To be responsible for the completion of oversight activity in accordance with the approved Performance-based audit schedule. To lead audits providing guidance to postholders/third parties where appropriate in support of continuous improvement and the maintenance of company approvals.
This role can be based at either London City Airport or Head Office, Didsbury, Manchester.

The role:
Safety & Compliance Auditor
To be responsible for the completion of oversight activity in accordance with the approved Performance-based audit schedule. To lead audits providing guidance to postholders/third parties where appropriate in support of continuous improvement and the maintenance of company approvals.
This role can be based at either London City Airport or Head Office, Didsbury, Manchester.
What you'll do:
- To monitor compliance with industry regulation, including but not limited to, UK Law 965-2012 Air Ops, Part-145, Part CAMO & Part M, IATA and Safety and Security regulations. In addition, to monitor compliance against BACF Operations manuals and procedures, Airworthiness manuals and procedures, BACF Safety and Security systems and any other company documentation as required.
- To perform and co-ordinate all aspects of audit/inspection oversight activity in a Lead Auditor role or individually for Air Operations, Part-145 and CAMO functions. Including planning scope, preparing checklists to ensure all required Regulatory and Company aspects are included and completion through to closure.
- Provide concise, accurate and timely audit reports using AIR Audit.
- Manage and approve timely closure of non-compliance, ensuring root cause has been identified and effective measures are implemented in order to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor compliance with industry regulation and the effectiveness of company procedures, including but not limited to, UK Law 965-2012 Air Ops and Part CAMO, Part-145 & Part M, IATA and Safety and Security regulations.
- Assist/host external audits where required and co-ordinate responses to any non-compliance identified.
- Review SAFA/SANA inspections and manage any non-compliance identified.
- Record any Authority security inspections, input into the AIR audit system and co-ordinate any responses.
- Monitor IATA pool audits for fuel and de-icing and provide guidance on required mitigations.
- Assist in the issuance of engineering authorisations and conducting quality boards.
- Remain up to date with current legislation and regulatory requirements and develop audit checklists in line with updates.
- Ad hoc project or administrative work as deemed appropriate to support the development of the Compliance Management System.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders ensuring immediate action is taken, where necessary.
- Perform audits on behalf of and with other IAG group auditors in support of the joint audit sharing programme.
- Sound understanding of Compliance Monitoring principles
- Self-driven with initiative
- Ability AND flexibility to travel in the UK and overseas and work independently to tight timescales.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce succinct reports for management.
- Ability to think laterally and suggest alternative methods for continued compliance and improvement throughout the organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Qualified Compliance (Quality) Lead Auditor
- Experience of working in aviation
- Knowledge of CAA Regulations and Regulatory approvals
- Experience of auditing in commercial aviation (desirable)
- Experience in cross and multi-functional working.
