The Bid Manager will be a key asset in high quality, compliant RFI/RFPs proposals in response to major opportunities, from customer's initial interest to the handover of the awarded project to the execution team.

They role will be to analyze customer and prospect RFI/RFP documents and propose answers on compliance matrices, outlines and templates that adhere to solicitation requirements and on line with Zayo's corporate governance.

They will work with several functions such as Deal Management, Sales, Products & Solution Engineering. This is a highly networked role that requires ability to work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines, and to apply strong people management and commercial skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with Zayo's European Go-To-Market organization to analyze and breakdown the RFI/RFP requirements released by Zayo's premier customer base.
  • Ensure company goals and strategies are understood and embedded in RFI/RFP responses.
  • Preparation of material for executive approvals for key decisions.
  • Conduct quality control checks and review written sections to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements as well as risk assessment.
  • Potential for managing more than one bid (depending on the size) and aiding in the overall administration of the bid management process.
  • Organize bid response material and save it in our Proposal Content folder for future RFI/RFP submissions.
  • Maintain accurate records of each proposal for detailed reporting.
  • Answer customer compliance questionnaires.
  • Contribute to onboard Zayo as a vendor for our customers.
  • Help to develop a compliance library.
  • Manage in a timely manner the document renewals to keep them up-to-date.
  • Create a supplier compliance questionnaire and contribute to put in place the annual due diligence.
  • Participate in Zayo's structured win/loss review process to ensure continual improvement in success and increased win rates over time.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • To perform their job successfully, they must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Must be fluent in English and French with strong written skills - German is a plus
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft Office expertise (strong knowledge of Word), Visio, Google Suite (Docs & Sheets) and PDF readers such as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with writing, editing, printing, binding, and page layout.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, self-motivated.
  • Able to work in a high stress environment, manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
  • Knowledge of data telecommunications services would be a strong asset.
  • Relevant Education and/or Work Experience.
  • BA or BS
  • 1-2 years' minimum experience in bids and proposals, or technical sales of telecommunications/IT field
  • Legal or compliance knowledge would help significantly for this role.
