Job Description:

At Regions, the BSA AML and OFAC Compliance Senior Manager leads multiple teams of second line of defense risk management experts who advise on business and/or product decisions. Associates at this level are expected to influence strategic direction through leading major projects, programs, or processes with significant business impacts and ensure that all compliance activities within their area of expertise follow the necessary rules and regulations. Associates in this position are also expected to maintain extensive contact with internal customers and regulatory agencies. This position leads a team and work closely with senior management to ensure that the organization maintains the highest of standards of regulatory compliance and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversees multiple teams of compliance staff and compliance efforts for designated business units
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the implementation and execution of testing compliance controls
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the compliance function, aligning objectives with the company's overall goals and priorities
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and governance structures to ensure compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC regulations, as well as internal policies and standards
  • Design and implement a robust risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with financial transactions and operations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders, representing the organization's compliance interests and advocating for industry best practices
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the compliance team, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop talent to build a high-performing and knowledgeable team
  • Oversee compliance monitoring activities, including transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of reports
  • Stay abreast of emerging risks, regulatory developments, and industry trends affecting the compliance landscape, and proactively adapt the compliance program to address evolving challenges
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree
  • Twelve (12) years directly related experience
  • Six (6) years of management experience
Preferences
  • Masters degree
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager Certification (CRCM)

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Median:
$229,719.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
