This is an exciting opportunity within Macquarie's Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) first line Operational Risk Management Team in London. This team works directly with the business to ensure the key operational risks are being effectively managed and monitored and to facilitate the continued improvement in processes, controls and operational risk awareness and culture across our businesses.

What role will you play?

You will be required to partner with the trading desks, operations and wider group functions to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the front to back processes and proactively manage operational risks. You would also be involved in contributing on a broad range of risk matters, assessing new product and business initiatives, investigating incidents, risk control self-assessments and testing the effectiveness of controls.

What you offer

  • 2+ years of financial market experience in a risk, trading or support roles, or in audit/assurance for trading businesses
  • An appetite to learn knowledge across multiple business groups.
  • High achievement drive, with strong resilience and tenacity.
  • An innovative mindset, strong relationship building, collaboration skills and commitment to integrity.
  • Ability to manage assurance projects to ensure controls are working as designed.
