Are you passionate about maintaining the highest standards in food safety? We're looking for an experienced Catering Quality, Audit and Compliance Manager to ensure our operations meet regulatory and company standards.
Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.
Role Purpose
At a national level, oversee all aspects of the catering operation, ensuring smooth and efficient processes are in place for delivery of food and beverage services. Support sites to menu plan, manage inventory, financial reporting, and maintaining safe and enjoyable menu choices.
Undertaking audits of stock management, ordering and portion control.
Setting quality standards, provide guidance to ensure food safety and hygiene regulations are understood; support sites to menu plan, manage inventory, financial reporting, and maintaining safe and enjoyable menu choices.
Please note: You will need a full UK driving licence and be fully mobile to travel extensively around the England, Scotland and Wales.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Creating healthy and tasty menu choices across all services taking on board patient/ resident and staff feedback and requests via our various patient /staff forums and surveys.
- Creating menu banks with regular and seasonal changes for all our services including service user and staff food.
- Working closely with our Hospital and Home catering teams to deliver the new menus and working practices to achieve safe, tasty, varied and efficient menus.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in quality and service.
- Develop and manage the compliance audit process.
- Set guidance for inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Review and prepare guidance to ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards.
- Through audit process ensure service costs and expenditure are controlled in line with budget whilst providing a quality service. Execute the process to provide an accurate and timely assessment of compliance, capability and delivery with the operational (and functional) areas of the business.
- Produce documented action plans with solutions and ways to achieve compliance for our services.
- Working with Procurement undertake supply chain assurance audits of those businesses supplying Cygnet with goods and/or services relevant to our catering offering.
- Act as a critical friend to the business in identifying gaps in process and compliance to drive effective remedial actions to assist with clear priority plans.
- Ensure induction specific to Catering positions is appropriate and adhered to.
- Working with Operations and the Nursing Directorate implement systems for feedback collection and customer satisfaction monitoring
- To promote equity, diversity, rights and responsibilities of staff and individuals in our care at all times in accordance with statutory requirements, and Cygnet Group Policy and Procedures
