The Compliance Administrator is responsible auditing, tasking audits, coordinating, and performing tasks involved in ensuring compliance in any areas related to distribution center (DC) operations, primarily:

• US Customs requirements and regulations for FTZ and CTPAT.
• Inventory accountability.
• Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Factory/supplier specifications.
• Customer requirements for outbound shipments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Review ASN data on inbound containers and correct any known issues before arrival.
  • Handle problems with container seals and damage that may affect integrity of inbound shipments.
  • Assist Receiving department in resolving exceptions, for example: bad/missing data, packaging issues, quality issues, etc.
  • Review, troubleshoot, direct re-counts, gather/input missing data, and eventually approve any receipts that are in variance with existing ASN data.
    • Communicate, track, log, and report issues as necessary/appropriate.
    • Ensure all data and counts are correct for transmission to FTZ software.
  • Review inspection results and other notes/data from the Receiving department:
    • Ensure they are performing all required quality inspections correctly.
    • Ensure they are handling rejects and discrepancies correctly.
    • Ensure they are documenting issues correctly.
    • Ensure they are following all other receiving procedures.
    • Gather, interpret, and log all documentation and findings.
    • Create and distribute reporting on data gathered.
  • Stay abreast of information and updates in key areas of involvement, for example:
    • FTZ and CTPAT requirements.
    • Packing requirements.
    • Production quality.
    • Customer compliance, VAS, outbound packing requirements.
  • Target and delegate daily audits of outbound shipments, product quality audits, and any other audit programs.
    • Learn any apps related to targeting/delegation of audits.
    • Monitor material handling systems delivering packages to auditors and ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
    • Review errors reported, answer questions, and facilitate resolution of exceptions that arise as needed.
    • Provide training and instruction to auditors.
    • Perform audits.
    • Ensure all issues found are communicated to appropriate parties, addressed, and corrected prior to shipping.
    • Log and analyze results for process improvement.
    • Report data gathered for process improvement.
  • Continually reevaluate targeting of outbound shipments to ensure maximum compliance and minimize customer chargebacks.
  • Provide instruction and training to personnel performing processes being audited.
  • Provide instruction and training to personnel performing audits.
  • Assist and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
  • Maintain excellent communication with all related Operations teams, DC Compliance team and management, corporate office teams, US Customs, internal/external auditors, surveyors, and any other related Skechers teams or external companies or agencies as required.
  • Assist FTZ Administrator in zone related processes as necessary.
  • Audit other processes and report as required.
  • Log, input, analyze data for other department processes/responsibilities as required.
  • Ensuring the accurate receipt of inventory.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of data passing to FTZ systems.
  • Ensuring all audit functions are targeted effectively and carried out according to policy and procedure.
  • Gathering results of audits and documentation of issues found during DC operations and tracking, logging, and reporting findings for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Perform other duties as required.
