The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting property casualty insurance company's regulatory and compliance functions pertaining to the following: Adherence to all regulatory requirements, compliance with regulatory filing deadlines, maintenance of authority to do business in all jurisdictions, insurance brokerage operations compliance, marketing and corporate functions.

Job Description:
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting property casualty insurance company's regulatory and compliance functions pertaining to the following: Adherence to all regulatory requirements, compliance with regulatory filing deadlines, maintenance of authority to do business in all jurisdictions, insurance brokerage operations compliance, marketing and corporate functions.
Position Functions:
- Maintain authority to do business in all states and assist in necessary filings
- Monitor for legal, regulatory, and legislative changes, using legal database, trade organization websites, state department of insurance websites, and other research tools available
- Assist in the implementation of any practices, procedures, or changes made necessary by the findings of such research
- Effectively communicate regulatory guidance to Company staff
- Coordinate creation of data extracts and responses to various state data calls
- Maintain schedule and ensure that reports and eligibility filings are made on a timely basis to state insurance departments on an annual or more frequent basis
- Maintain well-organized electronic files
- Coordinate collection and reporting of surplus lines tax allocation information from brokers
- Research and coordinate delivery of brokerage operations compliance procedures
- Respond to DOI complaints and inquiries, as well as other compliance-related consumer complaints
- Ensure that the content, design, and implementation of property casualty forms and endorsements meet applicable regulatory requirements
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as solid analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary
- Attention to detail and focus on accuracy, intellectual curiosity, organizational skills, proofreading, grammar and composition skills, research skills
- Ability to interact, communicate, and work collaboratively in a professional manner with various people at all levels within the organization and with regulators at insurance departments
- Ability to appreciate the importance of tracking and meeting deadlines
- Bachelor's degree required, some insurance industry coursework and/or desire for continued professional development
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook
- Minimum 4 years' experience in property and casualty insurance industry, preferably in legal or compliance operations. Surplus lines experience desirable
