About the Position

Reporting directly to the VP, Senior Compliance Manager, the Compliance Analyst will provide support to the Compliance function in a wide variety of areas. This role will successful candidates quickly to develop a working understanding of RenaissanceRe's compliance processes and procedures and a competency in the preparation of compliance-related reports and filings.

The Compliance Analyst role is based in the London office

Key Relationships
  • Reports to: VP, Senior Compliance Manager
Key Responsibilities
Manage the dedicated Compliance mailbox and distribute all relevant compliance communications received to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner;
  • Record, monitor and notify deadlines using the compliance task monitoring tool;
  • Monitor regulatory updates and communicate internally;
  • Maintain RSM's complaints register and ensure all relevant Complaints notifications, documentation requests and queries are handled efficiently and in line with the applicable regulatory requirements;
  • Perform pre-bind quality assurance checks;
  • Perform sanctions screening;
  • Monitor key exception reports related to underwriting;
  • Complete regulatory returns;
  • Maintain papers and minutes of internal meetings;
  • Administer the underwriter authorities and documentation;
  • Assist with new broker applications;
  • Assist with the Senior Compliance Manager with a wide range of compliance function responsibilities and compliance returns as well as ad-hoc tasks;
  • Own the Underwriting Controls Policy and associated controls and ensure the Policy and controls are maintained and proportionate to the syndicate.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a team;
  • Ability to work independently using initiative;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong computer skills are essential, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Exceptional organizational skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally;
  • Proactive and a self-starter willing to grow and develop.
