Job Description:
You will be based in Madrid where you will support the growth of the activity in Spain. You will be working closely with the 2 Senior Advisory Compliance team members and also be the support and backup the Reporting analyst in London. The position reports to the Global Head of Advisory Compliance.
Main Responsilibities
- Analysis and preparation of regulatory reports in the UK, EU and U.S;
- Query databases to extract the information needed to complete reports;
- Handling requests and ad hoc information requests related to regulatory reporting especially REMIT
- Develop and maintain cooperation with internal departments at both individual and group level;
- Responsible for ensuring impeccable data quality on a daily basis.
- Monitoring and updating external registers/filings/exemptions necessary to continue trading and maintain licence(s) to operate
- Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; developing/implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
- Assisting in the development and provision of Compliance training
- At least 2 years relevant working experience within a hedge fund, commodities, banking or a regulatory agency
- Familiar with EU regulations such as REMIT and MiFID
- Team player but also able to work independently
- Good communication skills to be able to discuss with senior management, front office, business counterparts and external parties
- Confident, precise, hands-on mentality and service-oriented
- Fluent in English & Spanish
- Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS office applications
