Job Title Compliance Analyst Job Description As our Compliance Analyst, you will become an integral part of the team working with software application for accountants, to ensure these meet customer and commercial needs in accordance with defined standards, best practices and agreed deadlines.
Your main focus will relate to the accountant's preparation of final accounts for all business entity types to meet UK and Irish reporting standards.
This will be a hybrid position with 3 days on-site in our offices. Key Responsibilities You will stay informed on UK and Irish legislation and reporting standards to identify product requirements and ensure compliance. You will use customer feedback and competitor analysis to recommend product improvements. You'll provide clear and detailed compliance specifications, while participating in peer reviews to spot any issues that could hinder implementation, escalating concerns when necessary. You will ensure all product team outputs adhere to current laws, standards, and best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve compliance standards and procedures.
:
• A background in accountancy with full/part professional qualifications and/or relevant experience of the preparation of final accounts for all business entity types
• An understanding of the interaction of final accounts with bookkeeping and VAT.
• Experience of the preparation Income Tax and Corporation Tax returns.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience of business analysis processes in software engineering would be of benefit but not essential.
• An enthusiasm for the domain and confidence to challenge processes whilst prioritizing Sage's and customers' needs.
