Due to continued success and growth, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Assistant to join our team. You will play a key part in maintaining and implementing vital industry standards for a wide range of clients, liaising regularly with other departments within the business and with our clients. You will be expected to adapt to new requirements as they come in this rapidly evolving industry and entrusted to ensure that our success is delivered in an ethical, fair, and compliant fashion.

You will be a great communicator who is comfortable with analysing multiple factors and risks in the course of your decision making. You will have excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and you will be skilled at applying good business practice whilst maintaining a view on wider strategy. Previous experience in compliance, paralegal roles, or the gambling industry would be desirable, though is not essential if you are well suited to the role.

Responsibilities
  • You will oversee marketing plans and assets to ensure compliance with gambling regulations.
  • You will be involved in reviewing affiliate applications and auditing affiliate websites, gambling sites and media operations to ensure that they are compliant with regulations and company policies.
  • You will review and occasionally create promotional Terms and Conditions.
  • You will review all marketing assets such as promotion copy, banners, email communications etc.
  • You will be responsible for keeping up to date with industry knowledge and regulatory changes and communicating requirements across departments.
  • You will provide compliance advice and guidance to the wider business as appropriate.
  • You will be required to conduct assessments against regulatory codes (such as the Remote Technical Standards) for new sites/apps etc.
  • You will review and draft compliance policies when appropriate.
  • You will ensure that all policies and procedures version control is kept up to date and any upcoming reviews are scheduled with the relevant member of the compliance team.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring good record keeping relating to meetings, internal audits and other settings as appropriate including but not limited to minute taking, capturing actions required, assisting the wider compliance team to develop action plans.
  • You will be responsible for ongoing monitoring of our Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Sanctions processes.
  • You will be closely involved with our escalated complaints and disputes. In particularly complex cases, you may be required to research legal documentation, regulations, the privacy policy governing the site(s) in question and/or the terms and conditions governing the site(s) in question
  • You may be required to analyse the account activity of players and identifying any potential indicators of gambling-related harm, before deciding on the best course of action to mitigate any such harm.
  • You may be required to review Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requests as part of our Anti Money Laundering and Responsible Gambling processes.
  • You are likely to be given various projects over time in line with innovation within our sector, post-audit remediation and other ad hoc tasks as defined by your line manager or the Head of Compliance.
Requirements
  • Be either a graduate, of graduate calibre, or have relevant experience
  • Ability to use initiative and make decisions
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional working proficiency with Microsoft 360 suite applications is essential
  • Knowledge of data protection, gambling regulations, or advertising standards would be beneficial
