Position Summary/Mission

The Compliance & Contracts Manager for UK & Ireland will provide local contracting support as well as support in developing and embedding an effective and proportionate compliance framework to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations and codes of practice.

Core Responsibilities

  • Applying UK/IE codes of practice, laws and regulations. For example, Data Protection, Conflict of Interest, Antifraud/Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption, Competition Law, Charitable Contributions, Pharmacovigilance, Employment Law.
  • Partnering with Global Legal and External Counsel in managing local queries, including but not limited to contracting reviews/negotiations.
  • Deployment and delivery of training, awareness and educational programmes.
  • Maintaining , updating and communicating key processes, SOPs, policies and FMV framework.
  • Regular company-wide communications and ad hoc briefings.
  • Managing CAPA activities including training, improvement activities and managing deviations.
  • Approving UK/IE promotional and non-promotional materials and activities.
  • Review and approval of cross-border activities impacting UK/Ireland HCPs/HCOs.
  • Monitoring in accordance with the compliance plan.
  • Deliver timely and accurate disclosure reporting as necessary under UK/IE Transparency regulations.
  • Partner with global data protection officer to fulfil UK legal requirements for local data protection requirements including managing consents/contracts, data sharing agreements, training and awareness of departments, process updates, subject access requests.
Required Education & Experience

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Proven and relevant experience in compliance in the pharmaceutical sector
Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business partnering skills, with a solution focused mindset and ability to drive outcomes.
  • Ability to evaluate risk and support informed decision making.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, hands-on experience with project and launch management (planning negotiation, initiative & critical thinking). Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Ability to consult, negotiate and facilitate decision making processes.
  • A team player with string networking, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Detailed working knowledge and understanding of the ABPI/IPHA Code of Practice as well as similar regulations, i.e. EFPIA and UK Bribery Act.
  • Knowledge of risk management, audits, monitoring.
  • Ability to coordinate between internal and external legal support to formulate the most appropriate legal advice and direction.
  • Knowledge of data protection.
  • Ability to develop, lead and embed change in processes.
  • Working knowledge of the ABPI / IPHA / EFPIA / PAGB codes of practice.
  • Computer literacy.
