Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity

The Compliance Manager, Framework and Policy SME reports into the Group Compliance Director. The purpose of the role is to develop, enhance, and maintain the Group's Regulatory Risk framework and inventory of Compliance and Conduct policies, standards and procedures. You will play a key role in developing and implementing compliance oversight, promoting a culture of integrity and transparency, and supporting the Group's compliance objectives.

What will your day look like?

This role is a key part of our Compliance team and will report directly to the Group Compliance Director, who will support your growth through regular performance reviews, 1-1 meetings, and development conversations.

As Compliance Manager, you will be the go-to expert on Regulatory Risk frameworks, policies, and standards across the Group, ensuring alignment with FCA and PRA requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as the primary subject matter expert on Regulatory Risk frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining the Group's Regulatory Risk framework and the inventory of Compliance and Conduct policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and regulatory changes, embedding best practices into the Group's Regulatory Risk framework and policies.
What do we expect from you?
  • An expert in Regulatory Risk framework and policy development within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, as well as industry best practices in within the financial services industry.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and engage with senior management and build collaborative relationships across the bank.
