Role: Compliance Manager (Safeguarding & Coursework Adaptations)
Contract: Full time (35 hours per week), Permanent
Salary: £33,300-£43,400
Location: Cambridge, Hybrid (2-3 days per week in Cambridge)
The Compliance Team
We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our motivated and dedicated Compliance team. Leading the Safeguarding and Coursework Adaptations sub-team, and reporting to a Senior Compliance Manager, this is an exciting time to join us as we expand the wider team in our mission to continue to safeguard the security and integrity of International Education exams and assessments, whilst actively supporting our candidates and centre staff.
About the role
Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our safeguarding and coursework adaptation processes, you will be empowered to lead a team of Compliance Officers to work on and continuously improve our offering to centres in these areas.
No two days are the same but broadly, your main areas of responsibility will include;

About the role
Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our safeguarding and coursework adaptation processes, you will be empowered to lead a team of Compliance Officers to work on and continuously improve our offering to centres in these areas.
No two days are the same but broadly, your main areas of responsibility will include;
- Leading the team through their series related processes, ensuring they are consistent and accurate in their approach.
- Being the face of Compliance for safeguarding and coursework adaptations processes, assisting with related checks, allegations, appeals and complaints.
- Help to guide centres through unexpected difficulties during the entries process, by maintaining the 13-month extension process.
- Ownership of the safeguarding (exam based concerns) process, ensuring centres are promptly informed of concerns so that the relevant support can be given to candidates.
- Working alongside the Senior Compliance Manager, handling allegations and whistleblowing of a safeguarding nature.
- Developing and reporting on relevant data to senior managers and stakeholders, as required.
- Providing training and guidance to your team.
- Reviewing processes, procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose.

You will also;
- Be comfortable and experienced in assessing risk.
- Be comfortable making decisions which do not always fit 'inside the box, using your judgement to come to arrive at resolutions which are both fair and defensible.
- Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a great team player.
- Be able to manage and direct a varying workload and to successfully meet multiple tight deadlines.
- Be able to communicate information to a variety of stakeholders with diplomacy, precision and sensitivity.
- Deliver superb customer service in all aspects of your work.
- Have a demonstrable track record of leading a team and/or colleagues around you.
