Job Title Compliance Manager (Fixed Term 12 months) Job Description TYPE: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

Join Sage as the owner of our compliance knowledge roadmap, where you'll play a vital role in keeping the company informed and ahead of accounting and tax changes. If you're passionate about turning complex regulations into actionable insights and leading strategic communication, this is the role for you.
As our Compliance Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our compliance knowledge roadmap, ensuring colleagues stay informed through regular updates shared on our corporate intranet. You'll play a key role in liaising with both internal and external experts to understand how changes impact Sage's products, services, and teams. This role includes supporting local teams in crafting external communications, with opportunities for public speaking and representing Sage at strategic events. Additionally, you'll work closely with the partnering team to identify localization partners, agree on delivery scope, and validate solutions that help our customers meet compliance obligations effectively.
This is a hybrid role - three days per week in our Manchester hub Key Responsibilities • Identify and prioritise (accounting, tax, reporting) compliance changes in the UK, NI and EU
• Create content and present compliance obligations across Sage and be an expert communicator
• Explain compliance changes across Sage stakeholders using language that resonates with non-compliance colleagues
• Align with Product Marketing, local management, and Sage teams on compliance priorities and solution strategies.
• Foster a pain-free compliance culture within Sage solutions, aligned with market positioning and country strategy.
• Balance competitive advantage, customer need and pure innovation
• Work with local compliance and other resources to obtain detailed specifications of the compliance needs
• Support compliance efforts both inside and outside Sage, including press, customers, partners, and industry events.

• Strong accounting, tax and compliance knowledge
• Experience of cloud and on-premise software
• Experience of listening, probing and interpreting needs of various stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience of conceptual and strategic thinking
• Objection handling
• Customer/partner listening and engagement
• Presenting and media interaction including presenting as the Sage "expert"
• Requirements management
• Multi-touch communication (From QA to analysts to the CEO to customers)
