Job Title Compliance Manager (Fixed Term 12 months) Job Description TYPE: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
LOCATION: Manchester
WORK SCHEDULE: Hybrid
To own the compliance knowledge roadmap and ensure that regular updates are shared via the corporate intranet to update colleagues about potential and impending changes. A key part of the role is liaising with local experts both within Sage and externally to understand how changes will impact Sage products, services and internal teams. The role will support local teams who then create external messaging, but the role will need to be capable of public speaking and presenting Sage at strategic events. The role will support the partnering team to identify localisation partners, agree the scope of delivery and validate that partner solution to let customers meet their compliance obligations.
The applicant must have the following skills and experiences:
• Strong accounting, tax and compliance knowledge
• Experience of cloud and on-premise software
• Experience of listening, probing and interpreting needs of various stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience of conceptual and strategic thinking
• Objection handling
• Customer/partner listening and engagement
• Presenting and media interaction including presenting as the Sage "expert"
• Requirements management
• Multi-touch communication (From QA to analysts to the CEO to customers) Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:
• Identify and prioritise (accounting, tax, reporting) compliance changes in the UK, NI and EU
• Create content and present compliance obligations across Sage and be an expert communicator
• Explain compliance changes across Sage stakeholders using language that resonates with non-compliance colleagues
• Support Product Marketing, local Management and other Sage colleagues to understand compliance needs and obtaining agreement on prioritisation and solution strategies
• Drive a culture of pain free compliance within all Sage solutions that is aligned to the relevant Sage market positioning and country strategy
• Balance competitive advantage, customer need and pure innovation
• Work with local compliance and other resources to obtain detailed specifications of the compliance needs
