This position is to support the Senior Compliance Manager in driving the Council's success in meeting its statutory health and safety obligations as a responsibly landlord whilst continuously striving to improve the safety of its residents, properties, compliance, and stock condition.

As a leader of a small professional team delivering a technical mechanical and electrical (M&E) safety service, your role will be pivotal in providing specialist knowledge and support to stakeholders, and senior management with assurance that both mechanical and electrical installations, equipment, and services within its residential stock is being effectively managed.

You will be expected to ensure and assure robust programs and plans are in place to achieve statutory compliance with effective monitoring and management of your team and specialist contractors. These programmes and plans will be based on accurate stock data and information, with key performance indicators tailored to deliver results for all parties.

This position plays a crucial role in delivery of service and maintenance of lifting and mechanical equipment, associated assets, equipment, systems and the assigning and management of remedial tasks and recommendations. This position oversees the same for landlord electrical installation condition report programme, maintenance and service of associated electrical assets, and systems. These programmes require quality data and evidence to support all related activities and an acceptable level of demonstrable compliance and safety.

Your role will be to keep the Council at the forefront of industry standards by delivering a high-quality asset management service and contributing to a culture of trust, by creating a working environment that is supportive and high performing.
