Role Profile
We're looking for an experienced Compliance Monitoring Officer to join our team. This person will be responsible for performing compliance monitoring reviews and supporting the Head of Compliance to assess relevance and focus of the monitoring plan across the business.

Role Profile
We're looking for an experienced Compliance Monitoring Officer to join our team. This person will be responsible for performing compliance monitoring reviews and supporting the Head of Compliance to assess relevance and focus of the monitoring plan across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform compliance monitoring reviews in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, to provide assurance on the adequacy of systems and controls in the business, inclusive of FCA regulation, JMLSG, and risk events
- Second line of defence, developing and improving the monitoring methodology first line of defence controls within the firm's risk and compliance framework
- Support the on-going monitoring and effectiveness of the firm's risk management framework
- Work with the compliance team and wider functional areas to perform compliance monitoring in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, to assess compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the compliance team and wider business to analyse MI to identify areas for review
- Incorporate Consumer Duty requirements into compliance monitoring to ensure positive consumer outcomes.
- Work with the Head of Financial Crime and Head of Compliance to regularly assess the relevance and focus of the Compliance Monitoring Plan
- Tracking of monitoring actions through to resolution
- Support the Head of Compliance with monitoring and testing of functional risk registers to assess the overall control environment
- knowledge of the relevant regulatory landscape (including but not limited to FSMA, CCA and relevant provisions of FCA Handbook)
- excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to identify gaps and issues
- effective communication skills for reporting findings and recommendations
- good attention to detail and adherence to procedures
- experience in compliance monitoring and testing within the financial services industry.
