In your role you will perform Compliance monitoring reviews covering a variety of regulatory topics across all business areas (e.g. investment teams, operational functions, sales and marketing, product development etc).
How you'll spend your time...
- Perform a variety of Compliance Monitoring activities, covering the Columbia Threadneedle EMEA, APAC and NA regions. Activities include deep dive reviews (typically 3m projects) and periodic assurance testing, based on regulatory topics such as financial promotions, best execution, fund operation and accounting, conflicts of interest and similar.
- Collaborate with and provide support to team members in other global locations (UK, US, Europe, India) - monitoring work, knowledge sharing and other.
- Assisting with ad-hoc Compliance tasks and project work as required.
- Advanced communication skills (critical) - ability to work collaboratively and coordinate across multiple departments and teams, to influence and persuade
- Experience of conducting Compliance monitoring, audit or similar assurance work in the financial services industry
- Familiarity with UK/EU regulatory regimes
- Excellent technical and organisational skills, including the ability to comprehend and query a variety of complex information
- Ability to work within established deadlines, manage a number of responsibilities simultaneously, and prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience with MS PowerApps and PowerBI
- Previous experience working in an Asset Management firm
- Knowledge of key UK and EU regulated fund structures (UCITS and AIFs)
- Previous experience working as part of a global team
