Job Description
What will you be doing?
We're seeking a talented individual to join our Compliance team in London. You will report to the function Head, provide regulatory input to support delivery of (a) good client outcomes, (b) a compliant and risk aware culture and (c) the Group's business model and strategy.
As Compliance Officer, your responsibilities will include among others:
- Regulatory horizon scanning
- Conduct the identification, analysis , monitoring & evaluation of Financial Services regulatory pronouncements which impact on the activities of Evelyn Partners business.
- Produce management information and written communications for Working Groups, Committees & Boards.
- Support regulatory change implementation
- Developing and maintain implementation plans.
- Serve on relevant interest groups, working parties and committees.
- Prepare packs for Regulatory Developments led meetings and taking minutes where required.
- Support the design and implementation of Evelyn Partners compliance learning programme
- Consult with compliance policy owners on how learning interventions should be designed and delivered.
- Working with the Learning & Development function and compliance colleagues, design and deliver. engaging and high-impact learning solutions via multiple platforms e.g. recorded learning, webinars, workshops, etc.
- Develop and update training materials, ensuring they are appropriate, technically accurate, fit for purpose and meet the business needs.
- General
- Assist the function maintain up-to-date departmental procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues from across the 3 Lines of Defence to support the embedding of a client and risk focused culture across the Group.
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Good knowledge and understanding of relevant FS Wealth Management regulatory requirements, including FSMA 2000 / FCA rulebook
- Experience of working in the wealth management compliance sector
- Good inter-personal skills, judgement and decision-making ability, and a determined and proactive approach
- Educated to Degree level
- Relevant regulatory qualifications an advantage
