Job description
We are recruiting 2 Compliance Officers at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (Monday - Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Ty Penallta
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Land and Property Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £30,559 - £37,035 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The post holder will support the Principal Compliance Officer in ensuring Caerphilly Homes' is compliant with relevant legislation.
Key responsibilities include organising planned and reactive works, auditing compliance procedures, monitoring maintenance, and managing risks.
The role involves collaborating with colleagues, contractors, and residents to maintain safety and compliance, conducting property checks, and providing regular reports.
The position requires knowledge of health and safety regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Unqualified staff will also be considered.

For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example Building Surveying, Facilities Management, Property Maintenance.
- Level 3 Fire Safety qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- IOSH Managing Safely or required to achieve following appointment in a timescale to be agreed with line manager.
- Good working knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation, codes of practice and guidance.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend site inspections, visit clients and attend meetings.
