The Opportunity

As a Compliance Officer, your duties will be varied but will mostly focus on ensuring the Firm's regulatory obligations and standards are upheld and you will be responsible, along with your colleagues in the Compliance team, to monitor and assess the Firm's compliance with applicable laws and regulations and make timely and well-thought through recommendations for enhancement of associated processes and practices..

You may also be required to assist in other areas of the business e.g. to implement regulatory change and/or regulatory initiatives , or assist our customer oversight supervision team concerning regulatory questions or queries raised by customers or by the team itself. This role reports into our Head of Compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Executing the Firm's Compliance Monitoring Plan;
  • Drafting/updating policies and procedures;
  • Preparing FCA returns prior to their submission;
  • Conducting regulatory horizon scanning and highlighting any upcoming changes as well as their impact;
  • Acting as a point of contact for the Firm on any regulatory and/or compliance question or query;
  • Supporting the implementation of regulatory initiatives and/or regulatory change;
  • Communicate efficiently and clearly - the ideal candidate will be confident in delivering training sessions to multiple areas of the business. You will also have good communication skills;
  • Carrying out risk assessments where required and supporting in the Risk and Control Self Assessment Process;
  • Providing support, advice and guidance as well as conducting Quality Assurance on complaints handling and complaints resolution;
  • Developing and designing quantitative and qualitative risk-based Management Information.

  • Have a pragmatic and practical mindset;
Skills & Experience
  • Having previous experience in working in e-money and similar FI Fintech platforms would be good;
  • Previous experience in regulatory compliance and executing a Compliance Monitoring Plan;
  • Have previous experience with complaints including investigations, resolution and root cause analysis;
  • Good IT skills
  • Have a minimum 5 years of professional experience in compliance.
