Job Description

As a Compliance Officer at Radius, you will play a key role in ensuring that our business complies with regulatory obligations and internal policies.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their compliance expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while supporting multiple business areas across different regulated sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring
  • Assist in monitoring regulatory requirements across the business, ensuring compliance with FCA, ICO, and other relevant regulators.
  • Maintain and update compliance registers (e.g., breaches, financial promotions, complaints, regulatory interactions).
  • Support the Horizon Scanning process, identifying regulatory changes and assessing their impact on the business.
  • Help conduct compliance risk assessments and thematic reviews to identify areas of improvement.
Compliance Advisory & Support
  • Provide advisory support to business teams, ensuring policies and procedures align with regulatory expectations.
  • Assist in the review and approval of financial promotions and marketing materials to ensure adherence to FCA rules.
  • Support the drafting and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Respond to internal compliance queries and support the development of business-friendly solutions.
Reporting & Assurance
  • Assist in regulatory reporting submissions to the FCA and other relevant authorities.
  • Support the preparation of compliance reports for internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Participate in internal monitoring and testing activities to assess compliance effectiveness.
Financial Crime & AML
  • Support anti-money laundering (AML) monitoring activities, including customer due diligence (CDD) checks and transaction monitoring.
  • Assist in investigating and reporting suspicious activity (SARs) where necessary.
Training & Awareness
  • Assist in delivering compliance training to employees, ensuring awareness of regulatory responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials to support FCA conduct risk awareness.
What You Will Bring
  • A strong interest in compliance, risk management, and regulatory affairs.
  • Some experience or exposure to FCA regulations, financial services compliance, or risk management (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to provide clear, practical compliance advice to business teams.
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset, capable of working independently while collaborating within a team.
  • Organized and methodical approach, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a compliance, risk, financial services, or regulatory role (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory frameworks such as SM&CR, Consumer Duty, and Financial Crime compliance (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Ofcom and Ofgem regulatory (desirable but not required).
  • Compliance certifications such as ICA, CISI, or equivalent (desirable but not required).
