Team/Role Overview
The UK Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) team is responsible for supporting the SMF16 in maintaining an effective Compliance Function for Citi's UK Legal Entities by partnering with product and functions compliance coverage teams to establish internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of laws, rules, or regulations and design and deliver a compliance risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's compliance risk appetite.
This role serves as a Compliance Officer within the UK ICRM team. The successful candidate will carry out a broad range of compliance risk management activities and will support the broader UK ICRM team in ensuring that compliance risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, controlled and reported, as required.

What you will do
- Participating in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance programmes, policies and practices for Citi's UK legal entities.
- Assisting in the coordination of regulatory inquiries and/or examinations related to Compliance Risk-related subject matter.
- Maintenance and coordination of governance mechanisms in place to support the SMF16 in overseeing the UK Compliance Function.
- Analysing compliance risk metrics and preparing compliance risk reports.
- Collaborating with product, functions and programmes ICRM teams, and other internal stakeholders including Legal, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and In-Business Risk & Controls teams to identify and address compliance issues which may impact Citi's UK Legal Entities.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of Compliance Risk Management Framework related materials, including Compliance training for the UK legal Entities.
- Staying abreast of relevant regulatory changes, regulatory expectations, and other industry developments.
- Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape, including key Laws, Rules and Regulations and regulatory expectations.
- Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills.
- Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative and work independently.
- Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, and organized.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and experience with data analysis techniques.
- Presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
- Experience in compliance, legal, in-business risk or other control-related function in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.
