Opportunity

Cencora is currently looking to appoint a Compliance Officer for UK and France. This leader will serve in a senior position within the Office of Compliance to develop, implement and maintain an effective compliance programme, with a particular focus on operations within the UK and France.

The position is responsible for providing support to the VP & Senior Compliance Officer and across both the UK and France to ensure compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures and for establishing policies and standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the Compliance Program is effective in identifying, preventing, identifying, detecting and correcting non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Candidates for the role will ideally have experience working in large multinational companies; s/he will need to be a self-starter with the ability to embed and inculcate a compliance culture into the UK and French organisations, whilst partnering closely with the global team. The successful candidate must be fully fluent in both French and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the Office of Compliance team by developing and maintaining an effective compliance program for the Corporation and updates that program as necessary and in a timely manner.
  • Drafts and/or oversees the development of policies and procedures to support an effective compliance program and compliance with all statutes, regulations and written directives applicable to the Corporation and its various business units.
  • Maintains a good understanding and level of knowledge of existing and emerging regulatory compliance and rules and regulations applicable to the Corporation ,including but not limited to FCPA, Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption.
  • Provides guidance, advice and/or training and educational programmes to improve employees' understanding of laws and regulatory requirements applicable to their functions.
  • Liaises with executives regarding specific compliance questions, policies, & sensitive investigations.
  • Prepares clear and concise compliance reports for management and VP & Senior Compliance Officer.
  • Reviews and evaluates changes in corporate compliance regulations, policies, procedures and practices.
  • Participates as a member on internal committees related to compliance.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Key Requirements

The Compliance Officer will have knowledge of laws, regulations and written directives applicable to the business operations of the Corporation, including, but not limited to, associated regulation across France and UK and broad experience in fields such as law, regulatory compliance, business administration and healthcare. The jobholder will ideally have experience in the fields of regulatory compliance, pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or distribution or related expertise. Experience of working within a multinational is a prerequisite.

Cencora is looking to appoint a business-oriented compliance leader with the leadership and gravitas needed to embed and manage a culture of compliance across Cencora's French and UK operations, ensuring that compliance is viewed internally as a strategic partner to the business. Candidates for this compliance role will thus need to be highly commercial in orientation and the role will necessitate broad stakeholder management, both internally and externally.

Minimum skills, knowledge and ability requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English and French;
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to effectively supervise and manage others;
  • Excellent logical, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions; ability to resolve associated issues effectively and efficiently;
  • Excellent organisational, motivational and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Powerpoint;
  • Can be located in France or UK.

Educational background

You have a higher education, some years of relevant work experience in areas such as compliance, law, quality work, internal auditing or risk management.
